The Good Stuff
When any song can be clicked into your earbuds, there is still nothing like music coming to life in the hands and voices of musicians who have known and loved a song forever. Musicians whose lives were changed by seeing a band at just the right time, or who discovered an album that still burns as brightly as it did the first time they heard it. Who have spent years jamming to unlock the groove. Who have learned that in great songs, the meaning of the lyrics evolves over time – and there is always truth to be found.
As warm as old vinyl, as comfortable as the worn neck of a vintage Fender, Rockwood plays an honest tribute to music that has not been forgotten, and a reminder why it never will be.
The Collective
Rockwood is a fairly new gathering of long-time performers. Two of us have known each other since grade school (in the Winnipeg neighbourhood of Rockwood!). Our individual histories add up to almost 200 years of performing experience. Together, we are having a great time working up our favourite tunes with each other, and an even better time sharing our sound with audiences.
